Destination Wedding – Mexico

So it’s no secret that I’ve been totally inspired by the colors in traditional Mexican weddings lately, but with Day of the Dead (or Dia de los Muertos), quickly approaching on November 1, (and Halloween also approaching just as fast), I thought I would do one more post on fun Mexican wedding inspiration, or better yet, a destination wedding in a tropical setting like Cancun.  Mmmmm…I can feel the warmth of the sun’s rays already!

Wedding by the Sea

As I look outside and the sun is setting on the snow covered hills of Upstate New York, I’m longing for turquoise waters and a golden beach.  In the coming weeks I’m hoping to work on some nautical, beachy themed wedding invitations, but for now I’ll include a few inspirational photos that are getting my vision in focus.

ocean wedding cakeI love the texture of this cake, how the frosting mimics waves in the ocean and how the color flows from a deep turquoise to a pale aqua.  {Source}

mermaid girlsLook at these little mermaid girls!  So cute!  I love their adorable poofy dresses and the assortment of turquoise desserts is quite beautiful.  {Source}

place cards on wallI love the idea of white escort cards against a pale blue wall.  Take a look at this site packed with gorgeous beach wedding pictures: {Source}
