A Wedding with Man’s Best Friend

This post is for all you dog lovers out there.  Since my grandmother’s recent passing some days have been hard to get through.  While my family has helped me through this rough patch, there is certainly something to be said for the comfort that a family dog gives during sad times (in my case my golden retriever, Bailey).  No matter what kind of day you’ve had, any dog owner knows that there’s always a furry friend there to greet you at the door and cheer you up.  For all of those super dog lovers out there, why not invite your pooch to your big day too?

These photos definitely bring a giant smile to my face!  Thank you to all the pooches out there who constantly exude happiness and are there to celebrate our ups and downs.

On a side note, I’m having a Halloween sale (ends Halloween) – 20% off all invitations and Christmas cards.  Visit my Etsy Shop.

Destination Wedding – Mexico

So it’s no secret that I’ve been totally inspired by the colors in traditional Mexican weddings lately, but with Day of the Dead (or Dia de los Muertos), quickly approaching on November 1, (and Halloween also approaching just as fast), I thought I would do one more post on fun Mexican wedding inspiration, or better yet, a destination wedding in a tropical setting like Cancun.  Mmmmm…I can feel the warmth of the sun’s rays already!

Aubergine Color Inspiration

My new favorite autumn color is aubergine because it blends so well with an array of colors.  Pair it with pumpkin, crimson, chartreuse, or mahogany to create a rich palette for your fall or winter wedding.  New invitations that include some of these color combos will be unveiled in my shop in less than a week (along with a sneak peek sale)!  Stay tuned, but for now, here is a look at some of my inspiration for the designs.

A Wedding in Technicolor

After browsing through photos for my last post I fell in love with one particular wedding shoot full of vibrant, energetic colors.  I couldn’t resist but to include them in a follow up post celebrating Mexican style.  Enjoy!

Mexican Inspired Wedding Day

Who doesn’t love the burst of colors that accompanies a Mexican wedding day? Here’s a look at what’s inspiring me today.  Let’s have a colorful day!

mexican2Check out this amazing Mexican wedding photographed by Aaron Delesie Photography.  What a beautiful tradition for bride and groom to walk from the ceremony to the reception with guests and a band playing for you!  How romantic and inspiring!

All Apples

There’s nothing quite like walking down rows and rows of pristine apple trees in the crisp autumn air at the local orchard.  This post is inspired by our recent visit to the orchard, which is definitely one of my favorite joys about this time of year!  (Not to mention the cider donuts which are a must!)apples1I love the idea of having candy apples at a wedding.  {Source}
