Alternatives to a Traditional Bouquet

I loved my wedding bouquet so much but it didn’t last very long.  Instead it stuck around at my parents’ house as a faded dusty bunch of flowers until my mom probably threw them out.  Since I am a gardener and nature lover, I so much enjoy the smell and touch of fresh flowers so I probably wouldn’t have gone a different route.  There are so many options out there for gorgeous wedding bouquets though, and some can last forever!  Is anyone out there planning on using (or has used) a different type of bouquet for yourself or for your girls?
